Prospect Bay B&B Ballyconnell is an Approved Country House with Failte Ireland, the Irish Tourist Board.  Its spacious design ensures privacy for our guests while still experiencing the genuine hospitality of an Irish family home.

Your hosts Janet and John Bennett have always aimed to offer the best hospitality in Ireland, and we have received many kind comments from our guests, and an Irish Welcome Award.

Boutique Bedroom Luxury

All our bedrooms are en-suite, and enjoy views over the gardens, the lake and mountains.

Each room has an individual colour theme, with luxurious carpet or elm-wood flooring and rugs, and many original and limited edition paintings and prints.

Our beds are of very high quality; our duvets cosy and warm, and our pillows are non-allergenic. Your en suite shower room has complimentary soaps, shower gel, shampoo and conditioner provided.

For those who find stairs difficult we have two rooms located on the ground floor close to our disabled access ramp, and we can provide shower seats and toilet frames on request.

Some of our smaller guests may wish to use our travel cot, and several rooms have both a double and single bed for family use.

Public Areas
Our south facing breakfast room and guests lounge offers lovely views of the lake. French doors lead out onto a paved terrace and our Fountain Garden, with Koi pool, Gazebo and Deck area.

Deliciously satisfying Breakfasts!

We believe that as well as being delicious, your breakfast experience should include sampling locally produced quality ingredients. Our Ethical Food policy means that our eggs are always free range, and imported items such as tea, coffee and fruit are fair trade or similar. We also produce some ingredients ourselves, such as tomatoes, and so our menu does vary with the seasons.

Traditional Irish Breakfast comprising of

Sausages, rashers of back bacon, black and white pudding, mushrooms and potato farl or boxty, with home grown tomatoes and free-range fried egg

Served with toast or home-made wheaten bread 

Mélange of mushrooms and chopped crispy bacon

sautéd in butter and served on toast 

Gourmet Irish pork and leek sausage with softly poached egg,

served with home-made wheaten bread 

Atlantic smoked salmon, cream cheese and chives

 on a toasted Irish Soda Farl or Bagel 

Sweet apple and banana pancakes drizzled with warm maple syrup 

French Toast   (white bread dipped in a sweet, cinnamon flavoured egg and milk batter, gently fried in butter)
